This paper is concerned with the estimation of a social accounting matrix(SAM) and the input-output table for the North Korean economy and the application of SAM multiplier analysis to the computation of the effects of exogenous injections into the North Korean economy. The cross entropy principle is applied to find its input-output table, given the incomplete information and statistics on the North Korean economy. The construction of SAM for the North Korean economy provides the statistical basis for simple modelling in analysing the North Korean economy which is scarce, helping us better understand its interdependent and circular structure.

북한의 산업구조와 생산활동을 파악할 수 있는 산업연관표는 통일비용의 계산뿐만 아니라 대북 투자나 차관이 북한의 산업생산과 국내총생산에 미치는 효과를 분석하는데 필수적인 자료이다. 그러나 북한은 산업연관표를 공식적으로 발표되지 않을 뿐만 아니라 물질적 균형만을 묘사할 뿐 서비스에 관한 내용을 포함하고 있지 않다. 따라서 서비스부문을 포함한 북한의 산업연관표를 추정하고 이를 바탕으로 북한경제의 상호의존적 순환구조를 파악할 수 있는 사회회계행렬을 추정하는 것은 그 자체로도 중요한 의미를 갖는다. 본 연구에서는 한국은행과 통일부가 가장 최근에 발표한 북한경제의 거시지표들과 산업관련자료들을 제어합계로 하고 기존의 연구성과들을 주어진 정보로 하여 북한의 최근 산업연관표와 사회회계행렬을 추정하고 사회회계행렬을 이용하여 쉽고 간단한 대북투자의 회계승수분석을 하였다.
