Today, an unavoidable phenomenon in our community in unpredictable changes is addicts. Thus, the purpose of this research was to examine the applicability of preceding psychological studies on addicts by art therapy. Furthermore, hopefully, the outcome of this study will be a layer as a data for following other studies on addicts. Specifically, this research focused on Internet addiction and Alcoholics. For the research methodology, this study referred to the academic research information service(www.riss.kr) and master and doctorate researches of art therapy in The National Assembly Library from 2000 to 2013. In this work, one founded outcome was showed an aging tendency that most people in the researches on I.T addicts were youth and children and alcoholics were adults. Also, this research found that art therapy could be used effectively for the people who were not able to externalize their oppressed emotion what they wanted and what their problems were. Moreover, one of advantage of art therapy were that it could cultivate clients' strength in therapeutic process. Also, art therapy was proved the critical treatment not only for alcoholics and I.T addicts but also for people in need. In conclusion, this research was enough to certify the effectiveness of art therapy in the way that the clients were not defendable for their addition, but more involved in self-diagnosis, and emotional heeling while they were in theraputic precess.

본 연구는 급변하는 사회에서 불가피하게 발생하는 중독자들을 대상으로 한 연구 중에 서 심리치료의 한 영역인 미술치료의 효과성을 활용한 연구동향을 고찰해봄으로써, 추후연 구의 기초자료를 제시하는데 목적이 있다. 본 연구는 인터넷 중독 및 알코올 중독자를 연 구 대상으로 한 미술치료 선행연구 동향을 고찰하였다. 연구방법은 학술연구서비스 (www.riss.kr)와 국회도서관에 게재된 2000년부터 2013년까지 석사학위 논문과 학술지에 게재된 연구물 중 미술치료를 활용한 인터넷 중독과 알코올 중독에 관한 연구들을 중심으 로 연구동향을 살펴보았다. 미술치료를 활용한 인터넷과 알코올 중독 연구에서 인터넷 중 독의 연구 대상은 청소년과 아동이 대부분이며, 알코올 중독의 연구 대상은 성인으로 조사 되었다. 연구내용은 우울과 자기통제를 다룬 연구가 가장 많았으며, 연구방법은 주로 집단 미술치료에 의한 연구가 많은 것으로 나타났다. 미술치료는 언어로 표현할 수 없는 자신의 내면 감정을 자유롭게 표출하여 자신의 문제를 통찰하므로 교육이나 훈련이 아닌, 스스로 심리내적인 자원을 사용한다는 장점을 가지고 있어 알코올 중독자들뿐 아니라 인터넷 중 독이나 위기치료 등에 활용되고 있다. 미술활동을 통한 미술치료는 자신의 중독 자체를 부 정하는 중독자의 방어를 낮추고 심신의 어려움을 호소하는 중독자의 심리를 진단하고 정 서적 치료를 위한 충분한 활용가능성을 갖고 있다.
