Seak Hwa is a poet with backbone force in Korean-Chinese literary world. On the strength of his intelligence and unique experimental spirit, he has led new subjects of poems since the new historical period and discussed the identity of Korean-Chinese by the means of picturesque account of the ethnic group’s history, reality as well as its future. Seak Hwa, a representative poet of Yanbian area in the 21th century, is famous for his work“Yanbian”. It is a collection of more than 30 verses that vividly shows the customs, features, overall conflicts and multicultural thoughts of the ethnic group. Combining the culture and arts from eastern and western world, Seak Hwa has created the imitative and combinative aesthetics based on his abundant and accomplished knowledge upon poetry. Furthermore, to his advantages of dual cultural status, who has been living in the outpost area of China,hehas also broadened the fields of Korean-Chinese literature, which can provide an equal opportunity for cultural exchange between Mainland ChinaandKoreanPeninsula.

석화는 조선족문단의 중견시인이다. 그는 새로운 역사시기 벽두부터 뛰어난 총명과 슬기, 남다른 실험정신을 가지고 새로운 시적 주체로의 거듭나기를 시도했으며 조선족의 역사와 현실 그리고 미래에 대한 시적 형상화를 통해 민족적 정체성의 문제를 깊이 있게 다루었다. 2000년대에 들어와서는 연변이라는 30여 수의 연작시를 통해 연변의 풍토와 인정, 연변의특성과 정체성의 갈등 및 다원공존의 사상을 시적으로 형상화함으로써 연변의 대표적인 시인으로 떠올랐다. 특히 석화시인은 동서양 문학과 예술을 아우르는 풍부한 지식과 시적 소양을바탕으로 용전과 패러디의 미학을 창출함으로써 경계지대에 살고 있는 조선족시인의 이중적문화신분의 우세와 강세를 유감없이 보여주고 조선족시문학의 지평을 넓히는데, 중국 내지 한반도의 문학과 대등한 대화를 할 수 있는 계기를 마련하는데 기여했다.
