Based on the seven standards of safety education, this research analyzes the safety-related achievement standards, presented 2015 revised curriculum in each subject, and to suggest a direction of education construction for its research outcome as follows. First of all, each relevant safety education topic, from the newest curriculum in primary school curriculum, is found to be not so well-balanced enough to meet all the seven standards of safety education areas. That is, safety for daily living is not covered in six subjects, disaster safety in four subjects, traffic safety in three subjects, drug or cyber addiction in three subjects, violence or physical safety in one subjects, emergency treatment in one subjects respectively, and job safety in no subject at all. That means, safety education in practical arts mainly focuses on safety for daily life, while leaving the other areas untouched. Second, family life safety appears to be highlighted in safety for daily life, while traffic safety is covered a bit with bicycle safety as well as drug or cyber addiction safety concentrating on cyber addiction. Those results imply the following direction for future safety education. Above all, key concept and main goal of the new curriculum should be maintained, and any conflict with other course materials should be avoided, and children's development stage of the 5th or 6th grade should be considered, and safety rules and safe usage of tools should be kept in the exercise rooms. In other words, as core concept of safety education in practical art is the family life education, clothing life and dietary life should also reflect the safety concept in family life enough to be differentiated from other courses's safety education. This research, having analyzed the achievement standard in curriculum, could become more detailed or complete with content analysis of safety education later. Last but not the least, as creative practice and the third party education is a major mode of current education, we may look for ways to extracurricular safety education in order to show a new direction for better safety education that does not overlap other subjects.

본 연구는 각 교과별로 2015 개정 교육과정에 제시된 안전 관련 성취기준을 ‘안전교육 7대 표준안’을 중심으로 분석하고, 실과 안전교육의 방향을 제시하는데 목적이 있으며, 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, ‘안전교육 7대 표준안’을 기준으로 각 교과별 안전교육내용을 분석한 결과 ‘생활안전’은 6개 교과, ‘재난안전’은 4개 교과, ‘교통안전’과 ‘약물 및 사이버 중독 예방’은 3개 교과, ‘폭력 및 신변안전’과 ‘응급처치’는 1개 교과에, ‘직업안전’은 누락되어 있었다. 즉, 초등학교 교육과정에서의 안전교육은 ‘생활안전’을 중심으로 진행되며, 모든 영역에서 골고루 이루어지고 있지 않았다. 둘째, 실과에서의 안전교육내용은 ‘생활안전’에서는 가정생활과 연계된 안전관련 내용이 중심이 되었으며, ‘교통안전’에서는 자전거 안전, ‘약물 및 사이버중독 예방’에서는 사이버중독에 관한 내용이 있었다. 이를 바탕으로 실과에서의 안전교육방향을 제시하면, 2015 개정 실과교육과정의 실과안전교육의 목표와 핵심개념을 반영하고, 타 교과와의 중복을 피하며, 5~6학년의 아동 발달단계에 맞는 내용으로 구성하고, 실습 시 사용되는 도구의 안전수칙을 제시하여야 한다. 즉, 실과의 안전 핵심개념은 ‘가정생활 안전’이므로 의생활과 식생활, 가정생활에서의 안전을 구체화하여 체험중심으로 구성하는 것이 실과의 특성을 반영하고, 타교과와 차별화시킬 수 있을 것이다. 본 연구는 교육과정의 성취기준을 중심으로 분석을 하였으므로, 교과서 분석을 통한 안전교육내용의 분석이 이루어지면 교과에서의 안전교육내용을 더 구체화될 수 시킬 수 있을 것이다. 또한 학교 현장에서는 위탁교육, 각 교육청 자료를 활용한 안전교육 등이 이루어지고 있으므로, 교과이외에 이루어지는 안전교육의 내용을 연구하여 교과와 중복이 되지 않게 안전교육의 방향을 제시하기를 제언한다.
