The Effects of Cyberbullying Victimization of Adolescents on Cyberbullying Perpetration - Focusing on the mediating effect of anger and moderating effect of social support -

The purpose of this study is to investigate the mediating effect of anger and moderating effect of socialsupport for effects of cyberbullying victimization of adolescents on cyberbullying perpetration. To this end, thisstudy conducted questionnaire survey on 574 adolescents who are enrolled in 4 middle·high schools in Seoul,Gyeonggi, and Inchon. The main findings of this study are as follows. First, it was identified that there is a significantdifference in bullying perpetration, depression, anxiety, and social support according to the gender of adolescents,and cyberbullying victimization, cyberbullying perpetration, depression, and anxiety differ significantly by grade levelof adolescents. Secondly, cyberbullying victimization of adolescents was identified to be the most influential variablethat predicts cyberbullying perpetration. Thirdly, it was identified that social support mediates a relationship betweencyberbullying victimization and cyberbullying perpetration whereas anger of adolescents partially mediates arelationship between cyberbullying victimization and cyberbullying perpetration.
