The purpose of this study was to development and validation of humanity scale based on the core value of Humanity Education Promotion Act, such as manners, filial duty, honesty, responsibility, respect, consideration, communication, cooperation. Preliminary questions were made based on literature surveys and preliminary study reviews, and for humanity education professionals, the adequacy of sentences was considered. 20 university professors were selected to verify the validity of the survey and selected the questions in this survey. There were 37 questions selected after this screening. In this study, the correlation between the reliability and the questions of this scale was found to be appropriate. Also the adequacy of simplicity and appropriateness pf this scale was founded to be satisfactory. This study is believed to be the first scale to be developed based on the core value of Humanity Education Promotion Act. This scale could be used to assess the level of college students' humanity, and to develop humanity education programs.

본 연구는 2015년 시행된 인성교육진흥법의 예(禮), 효(孝), 정직, 책임, 존중, 배려, 소통, 협동의 핵심가치 덕목을 토대로 한 대학생용 인성척도를 개발하고자 실시되었다. 본 연구는 문헌조사와 인성요인에 대한 선행연구 고찰 등을 토대로 제작하여 1차 예비문항에 대하여 인성교육관련 전문가들에게 표현의 적절성을 검토 받았고, 인성교육을 담당하고 있는 대학교수 20인으로 구성된 패널을 대상으로 예비검사를 실시하여 내용타당도를 검증받아 본조사의 문항을 선정하였다. 본 검사 후 ‘인성’을 측정하는 문항으로 최종 37개의 문항이 구성되었으며 이는 예, 효, 정직, 존중, 협동, 책임 요인 각 5문항과 배려 4문항, 소통 3문항으로 구성되었다. 연구결과 본 척도의 신뢰도는 적정한 수준을 갖는 것으로 나타났고, 문항의 하위 요인 간 상관도 적절하였다. 또한 본 연구에서 개발된 대학생용 인성 척도의 타당성을 확인한 결과 척도의 간명성과 타당성의 적합도가 양호한 결과를 나타내었다. 본 연구는 인성교육진흥법의 핵심가치 덕목을 토대로 한 최초의 인성척도 개발이었다는 점에서 연구의 의의가 있고 대학생용 인성교육 프로그램 개발에 활용할 수 있는 이론적 근거가 되며, 인성교육진흥법의 핵심가치에 따른 대학생의 인성수준을 평가하는데 유용한 자료가 될 수 있을 것이다.
