The purpose of this paper is to examine the aspects of Kasuga-god(春日神) in "Kasuga Gongen Genki-e(春日権現験記絵)" by focusing on Kotobagaki(詞書) from vol.8 to vol.15. Kasuga-god showed an aspects as it concerned with the power that is (1)god of the curse, (2)god (or "deity") who is a human being, (3) god controlling office and rank, (4)god of the mercy, (5)Namu-Kasuga Daimyojin God(南無春日大明神) in Kotobagaki from vol.2 to vol.7 of “Kasuga Gongen Genki-e". But it also showed an aspects as (1)Honji(本地) of Seiryouji(清凉寺) (2)god (or "deity") who is a human being, (3)god of the curse, (4)god of the mercy, (5) god controlling office and rank, (6)Kshitigarbha(地蔵菩薩) in Kotobagaki from vol.8 to vol.15 of “Kasuga Gongen Genki-e". And Kasuga-god concerned with protection that is (1)an object of imperial outing or visit(御幸), (2)the guardian deity of a retired emperor(上皇) and Fujiwara clan(藤原氏), (3)an object of the disease recovery prayer, (4)an object of the long-nosed goblin(天狗)exile, (5)an object for the way of the death to Nirvana(going to paradise) in Kotobagaki from vol.2 to vol.7 of “Kasuga Gongen Genki-e". But it also showed an aspects as (1)an object of the heteromorphic exile, (2)an object for the way of the priest (3) an object of the disease recovery prayer, (4)an object of the easy delivery prayer in Kotobagaki from vol.8 to vol.15 of “Kasuga Gongen Genki-e". In other words, Kasuga-god showed the new aspects as it concerned with the power Honji(本地) of Seiryouji(清凉寺) and Kshitigarbha(地蔵菩薩) and it also concerned with protection the object of the easy delivery prayer, so it accomplish various changes in "Kasuga Gongen Genki-e". Particularly, Kasuga-god appears as god (or "deity") who is a human being in a dream in more than 14 places in Kotobagaki from vol.8 to vol.15 of “Kasuga Gongen Genki-e". As for the figure, full court dress, an infant, old priest are various, but it may be said that they realizes existence of Kasuga-god by such an experience to dream.

본 논문은 『가스가곤겐겐키에(春日権現験記絵)』에 나타나 있는 가스가 신(春日神)의 양상을 권8부터 권15까지의 고도바가키(詞書)를 중심으로 그 신위(神威)와 가호의 측면에서 고찰한 것이다. 『가스가곤겐겐키에』 권2에서 권7까지의 고토바가키 안에서 가스가 신은, 우선 신위(神威)에 관련되는 신으로서 현인신ㆍ지벌의 신ㆍ관위를 관장하는 신ㆍ자비의 신ㆍ「나무가스가대명신(南無春日大明神)」으로 그 양상을 나타냈지만, 권8에서 권15까지에서는 세이료지(清凉寺) 본지(本地)ㆍ현인신ㆍ지벌의 신ㆍ자비의 신ㆍ관위를 관장하는 신ㆍ지장보살(地蔵菩薩)로 그 양상을 나타낸다. 또한 권2에서 권7까지의 가호에 관련되는 신으로서는 행차(御幸)의 대상ㆍ상황(上皇)ㆍ후지와라 씨(藤原氏)의 가호신ㆍ병 치유 기원의 대상ㆍ덴구(天狗) 추방의 대상ㆍ왕생(往生(보리菩提))의 길을 구하는 대상으로 그 양상을 나타냈지만, 권8에서 권15까지는 이형(異形) 추방의 대상ㆍ출리(出離)의 길을 구하는 대상ㆍ병 치유 기원의 대상ㆍ순산 기원의 대상으로 그 양상을 나타낸다. 즉, 신위에 관련되는 신으로서는 가스가 신이 세이료지 본지와 지장보살이라고 하는 새로운 양상을, 또한 가호에 관련되는 신으로서는 순산 기원의 대상이라고 하는 새로운 양상을 나타내고 있어서 다양한 변모를 이루고 있는 것을 알 수 있다. 특히 권8에서 권15까지의 고토바가키 안에서는 14단 이상의 곳에서 가스가대명신이 꿈 속에서 강림하여 현인신으로서의 신격을 나타내고 있다. 그 모습은 속대(束帯), 어린 아이, 노승 등 제각기 다르지만, 이와 같은 모습을 꿈꾼다고 하는 체험에 의하여 가스가대명신의 존재를 현실화하고 있는 것을 엿볼 수 있다.

本稿は、『春日権現験記絵』に現れている春日神の様相を、巻八から巻十五までの詞書を中心にその神威と加護の側面から考察してみたものである。 『春日権現験記絵』巻二から巻七までの詞書の中で春日神は、まず神威に関わる神として、現人神ㆍ祟りの神ㆍ官位を司る神ㆍ慈悲の神ㆍ「南無春日大明神」と、その様相を呈していたが、巻八から巻十五までにおいては、清凉寺本地ㆍ現人神ㆍ祟りの神ㆍ慈悲の神ㆍ官位を司る神ㆍ地蔵菩薩と、その様相を現している。また、加護に関わる神としては、巻二から巻七までは御幸の対象ㆍ上皇ㆍ藤原氏の守護神ㆍ病気平癒祈願の対象ㆍ天狗追放の対象ㆍ往生(菩提)の道を求める対象と、その様相を現していたが、巻八から巻十五までにおいては、異形追放の対象ㆍ出離の道を求める対象ㆍ病気平癒祈願の対象ㆍ安産祈願の対象と、その様相を呈している。即ち、神威に関わる神としては春日神が清凉寺本地と地蔵菩薩という新しい様相を、また、加護に関わる神としては、安産祈願の対象という新しい様相を呈しており、多様な変貌を遂げていることが分かる。特に、巻八から巻十五までの詞書の中においては、十四段以上の個所において春日大明神が夢中に降臨し、現人神としての神格を現している。その神影は束帯、小児、老僧などまちまちであるが、このような神影を夢見るという体験によって、春日大明神の存在を現実化していることが窺える。
