In Japan, there were seven kinds of history textbooks designated by Japanese government from 1904 to 1946. It would be eight kinds of textbooks if we view the revised textbook of the second as a regular one. The analysis of these textbooks would be meaningful not only to understand the transformation of Japanese militarism from 1904 to 1946, but also to be fundamental work to analyze Japanese history textbooks of these days. And in the long run, it could be helpful to cope with the repeated historical distortion of Japan. Then, what on earth is the fundamental reason for this conclusion? There could be no other reason on the government-authorized textbooks except the recognition of Jingū-kōgō's invasion to the Korean Peninsula written on Nihon Shoki as a actual fact. But it doesn't make any sense that we try to analyze Nihon Shoki with nationalism of 20th century, though Nihon Shoki was filled with that of 8th century. For this reason, a dispute over Japan’s distorted history textbook should be dealt with not by the interpretation of the phrase of Nihon Shoki, but by the viewpoint of East-Asia.
