It is important to help students to develop character in the field of education. Ethical Consultation can be a complementary measure for moral education of classroom in limited time and space. Students can participate in moral inquiry, form a moral identity and have opportunities for self-reflection through ethical consultation. At the same time, a series of virtues such as respect, care, participation, empathy, responsibility and fairness can be internalized. Ethical consultation accommodates some or all of philosophical counseling, clinical psychotherapy, and psychiatric care. It is also based on contents pursued by moral education based on ethics and moral philosophy. ‘Acceptance and Commitment Therapy’ techniques can be used for ethical consultation practice. It is because moral education and character education closely relate to the pursuit of value, life context and devotional behavior. Teachers form healing relationships with children and have access to the overall aspects of the student, including values, emotions, attitudes and behaviors.

교육현장에서 학생 개인의 올바른 인격을 형성하도록 돕는 것이 중요하다. 윤리상담은 한정된 시간과 공간에서 이루어지는 교실 속 도덕교육에 대한 보완책이 될 수 있다. 학생들은 윤리상담을 매개로 올바른 가치 확립뿐만 아니라 심적 치유의 기회를 얻을 수 있다. 윤리상담은 철학상담과 임상심리치료, 정신의학과 정신치료들 에서의 일부 혹은 전부를 수용한다. 또한 윤리학, 도덕교육, 도덕철학을 토대로 도덕교육학에서 추구하는 내용을 기반으로 구성된다. 윤리상담 실제를 위해 수용전념치료(ACT) 기법이 활용가능하다. 수용전념치료는 가치, 삶의 맥락, 전념행동 등을 추구한다는 점에서 도덕교육, 인성교육과 밀접하기 때문이다. 교사는 아동과 치유적 유대관계를 형성하고 가치, 정서, 태도, 행동 등 총체적 측면에서 학생의 변화를 도모할 수 있다. 학생들은 교사와 윤리상담을 통해 도덕적 삶에 참여하고 도덕적 정체성을 형성하며 정신건강과 마음치유를 획득할 수 있다
