Cultural history refers to a specific manner of looking into the past, and it considers that culture consists of human actions, deeds, and thoughts. From this perspective, the human body is an important topic in relation to the History of Art and Medicine through the evolution of knowledge about modern anatomy after the publication of the De humani corporis fabrica by Andrea Vesalius. This research presents Giorgio Vasari's point of view, which is the acclaimed academic tradition of a critic of art as well as a connoisseur of art, and that of Giovanni Morelli, who became an important innovator in artistic diagnosis in the middle of the nineteenth century by offering a new instrument for analyzing works of art. This comparative study of interesting historical example of consilience examines how the idea of the human body has been transformed and delves into related semiotic levels with different meanings.

문화사는 과거를 검토하는 특별한 방법이며 문화는 인간의 행위와 결과, 사유로 구성되어 있다. 이 같은 관점에서 인체는 늘 미술사와 의학의 역사에서 안드레아 베살리우스의 『인체의 구조에 관하여』이후 근 대적인 해부학의 발전 속에서 중요한 테마를 구성해왔다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 미술 감정가로서 미술 비평의 아카데믹한 전통을 구성해 왔던 조르조 바자리의 관점과 19세기 중엽 미술품에 대한 새로운 진 단도구를 제공하며 미술 진단의 중요한 혁신을 가져온 인물이었던 조반니 모렐리의 관점을 소개한다. 이 같은 융합에 대한 흥미로운 역사적 사례에 대한 비교 연구는 인체에 대한 생각과 서로 다른 의미의 기 호학적 레벨들이 변화되었는지를 분석한다.
