This study focuses on caddie that exists only in golf. Korean caddie, which is largely divided into player caddie and house caddie, has limited self, independent activities and has degenerated into a player’s object. This study uses the typical literature review method and suggests the actual status of caddie objectification and its tasks. First, it approaches the actual status of caddie objectification by classifying caddie into player caddie and house caddie. Player caddie has limitations on subjectivation due to the lack of appropriate treatment and professionality, while house caddie has settled to have its entire culture to be perceived as a through object. To overcome these, first, it is necessary to change the awareness toward caddie through training for players and internal customers. Second, efforts must be made on the subjectivation and professionalization of caddie itself. Third, it is necessary to improve the treatment on caddie. With various other efforts, it is considered that the subjectivation of caddie that is perceived as an object can be realized.

이 연구는 골프 종목에서만 존재하는 ‘캐디’를 주제로 살펴본 것이다. 국내의 캐디는 크게 플레이어 캐디와 하우 스 캐디로 분류된다. 캐디는 스스로의 주체적 활동이 제한되어 있어서 현재, 플레이어의 객체로 전락되어 있다. 이 연구 는 캐디의 객체화 현상의 실태와 그에 대한 과제를 제시한다. 우선, 캐디의 객체화 실태를 플레이어 캐디와 하우스 캐디 로 구분하여 접근하였다. 플레이어 캐디는 그에 맞는 처우 및 전문성 부족 등으로 주체화에 대한 제한이 따르고 있다. 반면 하우스 캐디의 경우, 문화 자체가 철저한 객체로 인식되도록 정착되어 있다. 이를 해결하기 위한 방안으로 첫째, 선수 및 내장객을 대상으로 한 교육 등으로 캐디에 대한 인식을 변화시킬 필요가 있다. 둘째, 캐디 스스로의 주체화 및 전문화를 위한 노력이 필요하다. 셋째, 캐디에 대한 전반적인 처우개선이 필요하다. 캐디의 주체화를 위해서는 캐디는 물론 다양한 환경요인이 필요하다.
