The study intended to investigate the effects of massage and cupping therapy on the treatment of frozen shoulder. From March 2016 to February 2017, eight patients diagnosed with frozen shoulder at Seoul D Hospital were treated with massage and cupping therapy for 2 upto 8 weeks and the effects of the combined intervention was analyzed. As a result, half of patients improved while four patients also showed good results. These massage techniques were found to improve the blood circulation of the affected area, thereby it was analyzed that this technique can enhance blood circulation and solves adhesion. The cupping therapy was used to link the meridians of the affected area, which not only quickly eased fatigue, but also contributed greatly to heal gastrointestinal disorders.

이 연구는 2016년 3월부터 2017년 2월까지 서울 D병원에서 견관절 주위염 진단을 받은 8명의 질환자를 대상으 로 마사지와 부항을 결합하는 방법으로 8명의 견괄절 주위염 환자에게 2~8주의 치료와 관찰을 거쳐 그 효과를 분석하 였다 그 결과 8명의 질환자중 50%의 치유율을 보였다. 그 외 4명의 환자한테서도 좋은 효과를 보였는데 이러한 마사지 기법은 환부의 혈액순환을 개선하여 혈액순환을 원활하게하며 유착을 해소하는데도 크게 기여하는 것으로 분석 되었 다. 여기서 부항을 곁들여 치료하면 환부의 경락을 원활하게 하여 피로를 빠르게 회복할 뿐만 아니라 소화기 장애에도 크게 기여하는 것으로 이 연구결과 분석 되었다.
