The purpose of this study is to analyze the legacy of mega sport events held in Korea. To this end, define the definition and type of mega sport event legacy, and what about the legacy of mega sport event? We will discuss the legacy of Mega Sport Event Legacy. The results of this study are as follows: First, Mega sport event legacy is defined as positive and negative, tangible and intangible, remaining after the event. Legacy types are classified as economic legacy, socio-cultural legacy, and environmental legacy. Second, we analyzed the economic, socio-cultural and environmental legacy of mega sport events held in Korea (88 Seoul Olympics, 2002 Korea-Japan World Cup, 2010 F1 Korea Grand Prix, 2011 Daegu Athletics Competition). Third, it seems to be a time when legacy produced through mega sport event should be handed down to future generations and used as a driving force of society.

이 연구는 한국에서 개최된 메가 스포츠이벤트의 레거시를 분석하는데 연구의 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 메가 스 포츠이벤트 레거시에 대한 정의 및 유형을 규정하고, 메가 스포츠 이벤트의 레거시는 어떠한가? 를 분석함으로써 메가 스포츠이벤트 레거시에 대한 시론적 논의를 하고자 한다. 구체적인 연구결과는 첫째, 메가 스포츠이벤트 레거시는 개 최이후 남겨진 긍정적인 것과 부정적인 것, 유형과 무형의 모든 것으로 정의하였고, 레거시의 유형은 경제적 레거시, 사회 문화적 레거시, 환경적 레거시로 구분 하였다. 둘째, 한국에서 개최된 메가 스포츠 이벤트(88서울올림픽, 2002 한일월드컵, 2010 F1 코리아그랑프리, 2011 대구육상경기대회)의 경제적, 사회문화적, 환경적 레거시를 분석하였다. 셋째, 메가 스포츠이벤트를 통해 생산되는 레거시들을 후세대에게 전승하고 사회의 원동력으로 활용해야할 시점이라 사료된다.
