This study aims to identifying the impact of job support program for ex-offenders on recidivism. To this end, data from 491 among the participants of HUG job support services in Korea Rehabilitation Agency from February to October in 2015 were taken from agency offices nationwide. The analysis methods used are binary logit model to identify influences of the program characteristics. The results can be summarized as follows: First, below means of job interview number lower the possibility of recidivism against upper ones. Second, the employed and the expired also do the possibility of recidivism against the drop-outs from the program. Implications, advices, and some limitations from the results were discussed.

본 연구는 출소자를 위한 취업지원프로그램 특성이 재범에 미치는 영향을 경험적으로 확인하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 2015년 2월부터 2015년 10월말까지 한국법무보호복지공단의 취업지원프로그램인 허그일자리지원사업에 참여한 대상자들 중 총 491명을 무선표집하여 분석대상으로 하였다. 분석방법으로 이항로짓을 활용하여 취업지원프로그램 특성이 재범에 미치는 영향을 경험적으로 확인하였다. 분석결과 취업지원프로그램 특성 중 취업상담 횟수가 평균이상인 경우 평균미만인 집단에 비해 오히려 재범가능성이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 다음으로 프로그램 참여대상자의 중도탈락을 기준으로 취업성공과 기간만료를 비교분석한 결과 취업성공과 기간만료의 경우 상대적으로 재범가능성이 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 연구결과를 바탕으로 이에 대한 함의 및 취업지원프로그램의 효과적인 운영과 관련한 제언들과 함께 연구의 한계를 제시하였다.
