This study focuses on the influence of the firm's free cash flow and dividend pay-out ratio on firm value. The study samples were analyzed by selecting 1,000 companies listed on the Korea Stock Exchange. The analyzed results are as follows; First, the influence of free cash flow on firm value was studied. The result shows that firm value increases as free cash flow is increased. Considering the current economic situation, companies that are in a precarious situation while holding cash to cope with the investments and risks has been analyzed to have an increasing effect on the firm value. Second, the influence on firm value due to the dividend was studied. As shown in the result, the result of the dividend pay-out ratio and average dividend rate appears as opposites. First of all, the dividend pay-out ratio shows a negative effect on the firm value. However, the average dividend rate has a positive effect on the firm value. Third, the influence of the free cash flow and dividend pay-out ratio on the firm value was studied. In the result, the firm which has a high dividend pay-out ratio and free cash flow shows a negative effect on the firm value.

본 연구는 기업의 잉여현금흐름과 배당성향이 기업가치에 어떻게 영향을 미치는지에 대해 살펴본 연구이다. 이를 분석하기 위하여, 연구표본은 2010년부터 2015년까지 한국증권거래소에 상장되어 있는 기업을 대상으로 3,926개를 선정하여 분석하였다. 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 잉여현금흐름이 기업가치에 미치는 영향을 살펴보았다. 결과를 보면, 잉여현금흐름이 증가할수록 기업의 가치는 증가하는 것을 알 수 있다. 이는 현재 경제상황을 고려해 보면, 불확실한 상황에서 기업은 투자 및 위험에 대해 대처하기 위하여 현금을 보유하고 있으며 이는 결국 기업가치를 상승시키는데 영향을 미치는 것으로 해석되어진다. 둘째, 기업은 배당으로 인하여 기업가치에 미치는 영향을 살펴보았다. 결과를 보면, 배당성향과 평균배당률의 결과가 반대로 나타나는 것을 알 수 있다. 우선 배당성향은 기업가치에 음의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 평균배당율의 경우는 기업가치에 양의 영향을 미치고 있는 것을 알 수 있다. 셋째, 잉여현금흐름과 배당성향이 기업가치에 미치는 영향에 대해 연구하였다. 결과를 보면, 잉여현금흐름이 많으면서 배당성향이 높은 기업의 경우 기업가치에 음의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타나고 있다.
