Effects of Social Exclusion and Social Network on Depression of Adolescents Female Single Parent - To Investigate Moderating Effects of Facility Program Support -

The purpose of this study was to analyse effects of early social support for adolescent pregnancy, birth and rearing children. This study utilized a part of National Youth Policy Institute’s ‘Research on the Actual Condition of the Adolescent Pregnancy, Birth and Rearing Children’. Participants of the study were 398 adolescent single-parents at the age of 24 and below who have experienced facility programs. In order to understand the effect, this study verified the moderating effect of facility program's support in the context of social exclusion and social network on depression level of adolescent single-parent. Results of this study are as follows ; First, adolescent single-parent was a part of disadvantaged group in the social exclusion, resulting from continuous lack of original family's structure and function of prepregnant. Second, social exclusion level and contact frequency, support and complication level in social network were related to depression level of adolescent single-parent. Lastly, the number and satisfaction of facility program were verified moderator variables on terms with social exclusion and social network on depression level of adolescent single-parent.
