The importance of teaching and learning of Korean culture for foreign learners in Taiwanese university has been underestimated, in consequence the role of cultural education could not contribute for students of Korean studies. Most of the lecturers who teach Korean cultures in Taiwanese institutes are faced up with exceeding their one academic authority in many reasons. Also, many of universities rely on contract lecturers or exchange professors, consequently the quality of education and continuity of the program seriously deteriorated. To improve the current issues in Taiwan, I propose several alternatives. First, lecturers and professor should expand their academic field to cover various academic fields and to meet students’ interests. Second, pedagogical system and well-managed-curriculum should be reorganized to overcome the current situations in Taiwan. Third, it is required to use and develop localized teaching materials and readers for Korean culture education to meet Taiwanese students. Most importantly, it is required to secure experts who trained in Korean culture education for foreigners.

대만 대학에서의 한국문화 교육은 하나의 학문으로 간주되지 않을 뿐 아니라 학생들 이 한국문화를 이해하는 데에 큰 역할을 하지 못하고 있다. 한국문화 관련 교과목을 담 당하는 교사들은 대부분 자신의 전공을 초월한 교육을 진행하고 있다. 따라서 대만 대학 에서 한국문화 교육을 담당하고 있는 교사들에게 재교육의 기회를 제공하는 방안을 고 려해 볼 필요가 있다. 교사들도 자신의 전공 분야를 초월한 다각적인 연구를 통해 전문 분야를 확장해야 할 것이며, 대만 대학들은 한국문화 관련 교과목을 체계적으로 배정하 고 적절한 교재를 사용하여 더욱 효과적인 한국문화 교육을 실시해야 할 것이다. 그러나 무엇보다도 대만에서 한국문화 전문가의 양성이 급선무여야 할 것이다.
