This writing is continuous yeongmulshi(連作詠物詩) of Yakchon(藥泉) Nam Guman(南九萬); trying to examine meanings of this yeongmulshi on microscopic point of view. Therefore this writer prescribes concept of yeongmulshi but at the same time makes general survey of Yakchon Nam Guman's yeongmulshi. Furthermore, this writer inquires out the forms of yeongmulshi as well as the characteristic of composition. In addition, this writer reveals characteristics of the imagery aspects in the continuous yeongmulshi. In his continuous yeonmulshi, this writer ascertains that Nam Guman has the ability to illuminate a material by various implementations; four dimensional description, ingenious delineation of internal image, expression of personal feelings, and social and political thought on a material.

이 글은 藥泉 南九萬의 連作詠物詩를 대상으로 하여 미시적 시각에서 그 의미를 밝히고자 기획한 것이다. 이에 필자는 먼저 2장에서 영물시 개념을 규정하는 동시에 약천의 영물시 전체를 개관하는 작업을 필두로 하여, 연작영물시 「詠柚詩」의 형식과 구성상의 특징을 면밀히 살펴보았다. 그 다음으로 3장에서는 연작영물시 「詠柚詩」에 드러난 형상화 양상을 밝히고자 했다. 그에 따라 ‘영물 외적 이미지의 입체적 묘사’, ‘영물 내적 이미지의 독창적 기술’, ‘영물에 기탁한 개인적 감정 술회’, ‘영물에 의해 촉발된 사회적 의식 표출’이라는 특징이 포착됨을 확인하였다. 약천이 영물에 대한 관조적 태도와 독창적인 표현법을 기저로 하여 한 가지 소재를 여러 방식으로 조명할 만큼 구성과 주제 면에 있어서 다채로운 영물시를 구사했음을 확인할 수 있었다.
