This study aims to accomplish the exploratory study on scheme of construction for Ya-dam book’s Index Database. Today, Ya-dam book’s Index depends on the translated books of individual Ya-dam book, normal integration index not exist. Chosun-jo Munhun Sulhwajipyo is an alternative that complement this problem, but it is not easy to get a comprehensive information about individual story and practical search. To overcome this problem, we found scheme of construction for computer-aided Ya-dam book’s Index Database about Kimunchongwha. We set up various information items about individual story to enable practical search. Therefore, we marked the information items that was classified as information of work and story to individual story. We classified the information items that were serial number, different version’s name, title, source, related works to information of work and character, background, event, etc. Character item was subdivided into a detailed sub-class index as name, sex, age, nationality, position. Background item was subdivided into sub-class index as space, time, real, imagine, region, history. Event item was subdivided into sub-class index as character, event, history, genre. The completed items is composed of individual catalog. Also it is controlled polysynthetically and systematically by DataBase Management System(DBMS). It is useful and sustainable for making use Large amounts of data This study will not only meaning that organized the result of Ya-dam research, but will also be able to construct a variable system that can be utilized by the researchers as providing a solid information with different mark items. Therefore, it is a significant possibility that can devise a methodological shift in Ya-dam research. They are accessibility of data, overall view, vitalization of a study on the motifs according to meta data items, objectivity of the argument through statistical methods. However, this argument is exploratory study, it is necessary to collaboration and discussion among Ya-dam researchers to this field.

본고는 야담집 색인 데이터베이스의 구축방안을 위한 시론적 연구를 수행하였다. 현재 야담집 색인의 경우 개별 야담집의 번역집에 의존하고 있으며, 본격적인 의미의 통합 색인은 구축되어 있지 않다고 볼 수 있다. 『조선조문헌설화집요』는 이를 보완하는 대안이 되지만, 개별 작품의 종합적 정보를 취득하기가 쉽지 않고 실제적 검색 또한 용이하지 않다. 따라서 본고에서는 이러한 난점을 극복하고자, 『기문총화』를 대상으로 컴퓨터를 사용한 야담집 색인 데이터베이스의 구축방안을 모색해 보았다. 본고에서는 각각의 작품에 대해 실질적인 검색이 가능하도록 다양한 정보항을 설정하고자 했다. 이에 작품정보와 이야기정보로 분류된 정보항을 각각의 작품에 표지하였다. 작품정보에는 작품의 고유번호, 제명, 이본명, 제목, 출전, 관련 작품 등을, 이야기정보에는 인물, 배경, 사건 등의 정보항을 구분하였다. 인물항목은 이름과 성별, 시대와 국적, 신분과 같은 자세한 하위분류로 구분되었고, 배경항목은 공간과 시간, 현실과 가상, 지역과 역사 등으로 세분화되었으며, 사건항목은 인물성격, 사건성격, 역사성격, 형식으로 세분화되었다. 이렇게 완성된 각 항목은 개별 카탈로그로 구성되고, 데이터베이스 관리시스템(DBMS)을 통해 통합적‧체계적으로 관리된다. 이를 통해 향후 다량의 데이터를 유용하고 지속적으로 활용할 수 있다. 이러한 작업은 그간 야담연구의 성과를 정리한다는 의미가 있을 뿐 아니라, 다양한 표지항을 통한 입체적 정보를 제공함으로써 연구자의 시각에 따라 활용될 수 있는 가변적 분류체계를 구축할 수 있다. 이를 통해 자료의 접근성, 전체적 조망, 메타 데이터 항목에 따른 모티브별 연구의 활성화, 통계적 방법을 통한 논거의 객관성 등, 야담 연구의 방법론적 전환을 도모할 수 있다는 의의가 있다. 그러나 본고의 논의는 어디까지나 시론적 성격을 지니므로, 추후 이 분야에 대한 야담 전공자들의 협업과 논의가 지속적으로 필요하다.
