The purpose of this study was to examine influential factors for university students suicide ideation. The subjects in this study were 452 selected. An frustration scale, a self-esteem scale and a suicide ideation scale were utilized to test the students. As for data analysis, t-test, correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis were carried out. The findings of the study were as follows: First, there was a significant correlation between their self-esteem and suicide ideation. Second, frustration turned out to be the factors that exerted a significant influenced on the suicide ideation of the teens. The findings of the study give some suggestions on the suicide factors of university students and how to prevent it, and imply that intensive efforts should be directed at school into providing training geared toward relieving frustration and into boosting self-esteem.

이 연구에서는 대학생들의 자살생각에 미치는 요인 탐색하기 위해 연구가 진행되었다. 본 연구에서의 대상은 대학생 452명이었다. 조사도구로는 자아존중감척도와 좌절인내력척도, 자살생각척도를 사용하였고, 분석방법으로는 t-검증, 상관분석, 중다회귀분석을 실시하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 살펴보면 첫째, 대학생의 자아존중감과 자살생각 간에 유의미한 상관이 나타났다. 둘째, 대학생의 좌절감과 자살생각 간에 유의미한 상관이 나타났다. 이 연구를 통해 대학생 자살요인과 방지대책을 마련하는 데 시사점을 제공하였고, 이를 통해 교육현장에서 좌절감과 자아존중감 증진에 힘써야 한다는 사실을 확인하였다.
