멀티미디어 시대에 살고 있는 우리들에게 생활 전반의 발전과 변화는 문화나 인류가 느끼는 감각보다 도 더욱 빠르고, 다양하게 변화하고 있다. 특히 영상미디어예술의 그간의 역사를 되돌아 볼 때, 20세기 TV의 창출로 다채로운 영상콘텐츠의 산출되었고, 21세기 컴퓨터시스템의 발현은 미디어예술의 획기적인 변모를 이루어 현재는 영상미디어예술의 정점의 시대라 해도 과언이 아닐 정도다. 이러한 변화된 환경에 따라 영화연기에서도 변화된 모습은 기술적인 측면에서도 나타난다. 본 연구는 이러한 관점에서 연기도 메커니즘의 특징이나 방법들을 잘 이해하고 연기하면 보다 좋은 표현이 될 수 있다는 것을 입증하는 연구이다. 이러한 기술적측면의 연기 연구의 입증을 위해서 손예진이라는 배우가 출연했던 두 작품을 통하여 살펴보았다. 작품은 <클래식>과<덕혜옹주> 두 작품이며, 이는 두 작품의 제작시기의 차이에 따른 환경변화와 메커니즘을 이해하는 연구가치가 있으며, 영화기법상의 쇼트와 영상 편집 위주의 연구를 통 해 매체연기의 연기특징을 분명하게 제시하여 영상미디어 중심의 연기행위 형식을 보다 밀도 높게 고찰 하고자 한다.
