This research aimed at investigating the characteristics of Wang Yangming study of Widang Jeong In-Bo ideology based on 『Yangming study theory』, and derive the implication of moral education. This research was proceeded according to following procedure. First, in chapter 2, as the first characteristic of Wang Yangming study of Jeong In-Bo ideology, this research investigated Heosil(虛實), and discussed this by connecting this with ‘the original order of teaching and learning’ and ‘necessity of establishing traditional moral education theory’. Next, in chapter 3, this research investigated Jeong In-Bo’s Yangji(良知), and discussed this by connecting with ‘the moral subject, a starting point and a terminal point of school moral education’. Also, in chapter 4, this research investigated Jeong In-Bo’s Gamtong(感通), available to be interpreted as the revelation and expansion of Yangji, then discussed by connecting this with ‘mature citizen’ and ‘expansion of value relation, the content constituting principle of school moral education’.

본 연구의 목적은 『양명학연론』을 중심으로 위당 정인보 사상의 양명학적 특징들을 살 펴보고, 이로부터 도덕교육적 함의를 도출하는 것이다. 정인보는 『양명학연론』에서 ‘텅빈 학문[虛學]’과 ‘거짓된 행동[假行]’에 대해 통렬하게 비판하면서, 공부의 핵심은 ‘실심 (實心)’의 힘을 빌려 자기만을 생각하는 편협한 마음을 누르는 것이라고 분명히 지적하였 다. 이것은 정인보가 교육에 적지 않은 관심을 가졌다는 증거라고 할 수 있다. 그러나 그 의 사상을 교육학적으로 풀이한 연구는 거의 없다. 이에 논자는 본 연구를 통해 정인보 사상에서 엿볼 수 있는 양명학적 특징들을 고찰한 뒤, 여기에서 관련 도덕교육적 함의들 을 추출해보고자 한다. 이 목적을 위해 먼저 제2장에서는 정인보의 양명학적 특징들 중 첫 번째로 ‘허실론(虛實論)’을 살펴보고, 이를 가르침과 배움[敎學]의 본령 및 전통도덕교 육론의 수립 필요성과 관련지어 논의한다. 이어서 제3장에서는 ‘본밑 마음’이라고도 표현 되는 정인보의 ‘양지론(良知論)’을 살펴보고, 이를 학교 도덕교육의 출발점이자 도착점인 도덕적 주체와 관련지어 논의한다. 그리고 제4장에서는 양지의 발현과 확장으로 풀이할 수 있는 정인보의 ‘감통론(感通論)’을 살펴보고, 이를 성숙한 시민 및 학교 도덕교육의 내 용 구성 원리인 ‘가치관계 확장법’과 관련지어 논의한다.
