is the Goryeo’s foundation myth. Stories of six generation’s ancestors constitute it’s whole story. So this myth shows a particular narrative developments and the method of composition that is different from a state-founding myth. This paper tries to investigate what methods of narrative composition are, and explore what those characteristic s display meanings. I can summarize the main findings as below : First, stories of six generation’s ancestors, that is, six sub stories is made up of four epic paragraphs. And each story has a single and individual completion. I regard those completion as a first characteristic of the method of narrative composition. Next, characteristics of the method of narrative composition on a whole story level can be summarized in three aspects : 1) a repeated appearance of the characters who predict and certify those predicts, 2) a parallel development of spaces and it’s focalization, 3) a connective development of events and it’s focalization. Especially, I observe that such events that characters move places of residence and build a house round paratactic, and simultaneously such events unfold connective. And such spaces and events are connected with a birth of Taejo Wang-geon(太祖王建) in the end. I also point out that is produced under the advanced narrative strategic. Also I understand that this result is caused by the political purpose of the makers of . Therefore, they have accentuated the providence and eternity of ‘Songak(松嶽)’ where were the residence of the Wang-geon family and the seat of Goryeo Dynasty. Also particularly they have wanted to emphasize the sacredness and inevitability Taejo Wang-geon who was born in ‘Songak’.

<고려세계>는 6대 선조들의 개별서사가 전체의 이야기를 구성하고 있기 때문에, 이 신화는 고대 건국신화와 다른 서사적 진행과 구성방식을 보여준다. 본고는<고려세계>의 이러한 서사 구성방식의 특징이 어떠한지 규명하기 위하여 작성되었다. 그리하여 필자는 6대 선조들의 개별서사가 단일하고 독자적인 서사적 완결성을 갖고 있으며, 이들 개별서사가 따로 독립한 것이 아니라 전체 이야기 차원에서도 서로 긴밀하게 연결되어 있음을 밝혔다. 본고의 논의의 핵심을 정리하면 다음과 같다. 먼저, 6대조의 각 선조의 이야기, 곧 개별서사가 ‘한 개인의 일생사를 구성하는 네 개의 서사단락’을 모두 갖고 있는 ‘단일하고 독자적인 완결성’을 지니고 있었다. 이를 <고려세계>가 보여주는 첫 번째 서사 구성방식의 특징으로 간주하였다. 다음으로, 이들 전체 차원의 서사 구성상 특징을 살폈다. 그 결과 1) 예언하는 인물과 이를 재확인하는 인물들의 반복 등장, 2) 공간의 병렬적 전개와 초점화, 3) 사건의 계기적 전개와 초점화 등을 추출하였다. 특히 ‘거주지의 이동과 정착·건축’과같은 공간은 병렬적으로 전개되고, 이와 관련된 사건들은 계기적으로 전개되고 있음이 주목되었다. 그리고 공간과 사건의 두 측면이 모두 ‘왕건의 탄생’으로 귀결되는 구성방식을 구사하고 있었다. 필자는 이러한 전개방식이 전체 이야기가 고도의서사전략에 입각하여 제작되었음을 말해주는 것이라고 판단한다. 아울러 이러한서사전략은 결국 ‘왕건 가문의 세거지와 고려 도읍지’로서 송악(개경)이 갖는 천정성과 유구성을 부각하면서, 송악에서의 정착과 건축을 통해 태어난 태조 왕건 탄생의 신성성과 필연성을 동시에 과시하려는 목적 하에 안출되었다고 믿는다.
