Excessive adolescent’s mobile phone can be associated with a number of negative outcomes. Therefore, mobile phone addiction becomes an issue of great concern that requires further exploration. This study aimed to empirically explore the relationship between mobile phone overuse and adolescents’ pornography addiction. Analyzing the 2011-2015 Korean Children & Youth Panel Survey data, we found that mobile phone overuse has negative effects on the pornography addiction. In addition, the high levels of parent’s relationship and school life(peer and teacher) have positive moderating effects on mobile phone overuse and youths’ pornography addiction. This result suggests some insights that can contribute to establishing addiction prevention policy and dealing with problems caused by adolescent’s mobile phone overuse.

최근 청소년들의 성인용 매체 중독이 사회적으로 중요한 문제로 대두되고 있음에도 불구하고 청소년들의 성인용 매체 중독에 미치는 영향과 이를 감소시키기 위한 방안들에 대한 연구는 매우 드물다. 뿐만 아니라 기존 선행연구들도 횡단 자료를 통한 분석에 한정하고 있어 청소년들의 성인용 매체 중독에 미치는 요인들의 인과관계를 추정하는데 한계가 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 한국청소년정책연구원의 4년 동안의「한국 아동·청소년 패널조사: 중 1패널」자료를 사용하여 청소년들의 성인용 매체 중독에 영향을 미치는 요인과 이를 해소하기 위한 방안을 제시하고 있다. 본 연구의 분석결과에 따르면 휴대폰 과사용은 청소년들의 성인용 매체 중독을 증가시키는 것으로 나타나고 있다. 또한 부모의 관심, 교우관계, 교사와의 관계가 좋을수록 휴대폰 과사용에 따른 청소년들의 성인용 매체 중독을 유의미하게 감소시키는 조절변수의 역할을 담당하고 있는 것으로 나타나고 있다. 이런 본 연구의 분석결과는 최근 사회문제로 대두되고 있는 청소년들의 성인용 매체 중독에 대한 학문적·정책적 시사점을 제시해주고 있다.
