Department of international trade has been established in the 1960’s and department name have been changed from international trade to international commerce. since 1990’s But There is no difference between international trade and international commerce to establish the identity of international trade education and to raise professional trader. in accordance with changing of international environment Such as globalization, diverse FTA under WTO system. in the age of convergence. it is necessary to unify department name, degree name in international trade education and to diversify subjects in connection with certificate of qualifications, civil service examination, national enterprise, law school.

1960년대 국내 대학에 무역학과가 개설된 이후 그동안 무역학과는 국내 무역인력 양성에 큰 기여를 하였고, 지금도 무역에 대한 사회적 수요는 증대되고 있다. 그러나 국내 대학의 무역관련 학과들은 학과명칭, 학위명칭, 교육내용에서 통일성을 보이지 못하면서 무역학의 정체성이 명확하게 정립되지 못한 가운데 급변하고 있는 무역환경에 시의적절하게 대응하지 못하고 있다. 특히 융복합시대 다양한 무역인력에 대한 교육수요가 증대하고 있지만 대학의 무역교육이 이를 체계적으로 충족시키지 못하고 있다. 본 연구는 융복합시대 대학의 무역교육의 발전 방향을 다양한 관점에서 제시하고자 한다.
