Freud's psychoanalysis had an great influence on modern western civilization. He was known that he analysed the pictures of Leonardo Da vinci and the other contemporary writers and their works, and showed the different approach in the history of the criticism of art. Since antiquity the art as the concept has been related with the inspiration which is not different from madness. Compared with negative attitude in the classical age, the exceptional status of the modern art is contradictory. This contradictory relations between the art of the unreason and the lunatic of the unreason need to be explained. So this thesis is to chase how Freud touched upon the unreason as problem. He showed the exceptional attitude about art works, but applied the same theories to analyse him and his works as ones taken from his patients, nevertheless didn't call the artists the abnormal. Especially the unconscious, repression and sublimation as problematic concepts in his works need to be interpreted philosophically with the 'cogito' and 'signification' theory. This can be so called deconstruction. Through this approach his egocentrism finally gets to be broken down, his distinction between the normal and the abnormal gets to be obscure.

프로이트의 정신분석학이 예술과 인문학에 끼친 영향은 잘 알려져 있다. 프로이트는 임상적 연구를 넘어서 고대 예술가나 작품, 혹은 당대의 문학작품에 대한 정신분석적 분석을 적잖이 수행했고 이는 예술비평에서 새로운 접근법을 제시해주었다. 예로부터 영감과 관련된 예술은 광기와 관계가 깊다. 근대 광인에 대한 배타적 태도와 관련해볼 때 근대에 비이성의 예술이 점하는 위치는 가히 예외적이라 할 수 있다. 그런 점에서 근대 이성중심주의적 문명의 정점에서 모순적으로 이루어진 비이성적 예술을 어떻게 설명할 수 있을까? 본 글은 프로이트의 정신분석학과 예술 이론 사이의 수많은 관련점들 가운데 광기에 초점을 맞추어 그가 비이성의 문제를 어떻게 다루고 있는지를 추적하고자 한다. 특히 그의 무의식과 억압이론이 철학에서 중요하게 다루어지는 코기토, 의미작용 문제와 연루되면서 그가 어떻게 자신도 모르게 서양 문명의 이성중심주의를 해체하게 되는지도 살펴본다.
