To increase competitiveness in a rapidly changing business environment, It is important for small and medium sized enterprises to build up a systematic and efficient business management
In particular, the accounting information system which can furnish an useful accounting information for rational decision making is an important subject to be introduced to small and medium sized enterprises for a systematic and efficient business management.
For this purpose, this study inquired into improving outcome of Accounting Information System(AIS) in Small and Medium Sized Enterprises As for the usefulness of the AIS, knowledge acquisition of the managers, organized system education for the exclusive personnel, effective management more participation of the users, managerial control system, evaluation of the results, and special treatment for the personnel in charge of the operation might be considered.
Consequently, the well-organized AIS will be the foundation on which resonable and effective
management rationalization of the enterprises. And it can be fundamental construction for realizing comparative predominance of competition in the keen market economy by enlarging the range of information.

급변하는 경영환경 하에서 중소기업이 경쟁력을 제고하기 위해서는 체계적이고 효율적인 경영관리가 매우 중요하다.
특히 정보이용자가 합리적인 의사결정을 할 수 있도록 유용한 회계정보를 제공해 줄 수 있는 회계정보시스템은 중소기업의 체계적이고 효율적인 경영관리를 위하여 우선적으로 도입해야 할 중요한 정보 시스템이다. 따라서 본 논문은 중소기업의 회계정보시스템의 효율적인 성과제고 방안을 연구하였다.
중소기업의 회계정보시스템의 성과 제고 방안으로 운영담당요원과 이용자 교육의 강화, 운영담당요원의 사기진작, 정보활용의 수준향상, 경영자의 적극적인 지원, 회계정보시스템의 개발시 회계담당자와 이용자 참여의 제고, 관리통제제도의 확립, 성과에 대한 평가 등이 제고되어야 한다.
따라서 체계적으로 잘 정의된 회계정보시스템은 중소기업의 고질적인 병폐라고 할 수 있는 방만한 경영을 지양하며, 합리적이고 효율적인 경영합리화를 이룩할 수 있는 초석이 되고 나아가 정보의 범위를 확대함으로써 치열한 시장 경제 하에서 경쟁력의 비교 우위를 실현하기 위한 기업의 기반 구조가 된다.
