This study is on the cases of the changing process of professional caddies who were formerly domestic professional golfers and are expected to tremendously contribute to athletic performance of global golfers in near future when the domestic golf industry grows considering that the domestic golf industry has numerous global golfers. The golfer-turned-caddies for pro-golfers were subjected to the study with investigation of their motive and the changes in their lives turning to pro-caddies were observed for 4months from Jun.1 until Sep. 30, 2015 using in-depth interviews and the result is as below. First of all, it was observed that they hold down a job as a golfer doing both works as a golfer and a caddy. Second, the motive for becoming a caddy for a pro-golfer was request or advice by acquaintances and selfdevelopment. Third, the factors for turning into a caddy for a pro-golfer were improvement in physical and psychological techniques. And fourth, it was able to observe that they wisely build their lives successful as a caddy adapting their goals, positive and negative factors for their situations.

본 연구는 세계적인 골프선수들을 보유한 국내 골프현황에서 앞으로 국내 골프시장이 발전하고 선장해 나갈 때 세계적인 골프선수들의 경기력에 크게 기여할 국내 골프선수 출신 프로선수 캐디들의 삶 변화과정의 사례연구이다. 골 프 선수출신의 프로선수 캐디를 대상으로 하여 2015년 6월 1일부터 9월 30일까지 약 4개월에 걸쳐서 심층면접을 이용 하여, 시작된 동기를 탐색하고, 나아가 프로선수 캐디로 변화되는 삶의 틀을 확인한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 골프선수 이며 프로선수 캐디를 두 가지의 일을 하면서 골프선수로서의 역할을 계속 유지하는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 프로선수 캐디 입문하게 된 동기는 지인 의뢰, 주변 권유, 자기개발로 입문한 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 프로선수 캐디로 변화할 요인 들로는 신체기술 향상, 심리기술 향상으로 나타났다. 넷째, 목표, 긍정적, 부정적 요인들을 자신의 상황에 맞게끔 부정적 요인 들까지 프로선수 캐디 삶을 성공적으로 만들고 있는 지혜를 엿볼 수 있다.
