We monitored bird population on Jang-do, Dadohaehaesang National Park in spring, summer and autumn from 2014 to 2016. As a result, we observed a total of 95 species 7,255 individuals. Most dominant species was Whiteeyes Zosterops japonicus excluding Family Laridae. The second most dominant species were Pale Thrushes Turdus pallidus and Brown-eared Bulbuls Hypsipetes amaurotis, which breed in Korea and Styan’s Grasshopper Warblers Locustella pleskei which is a summer visitor. Except for these species, Muscicapidae, Motacillidae and Emberizidae were the major families observed in Jang-do. We observed total 12 endangered species. Fairy Pittas and Black Paradise Flycatchers possibly breed on Jang-do. It is requried to identify the breeding sites and population size of Black Woodpigeons and Styan’s Grasshopper Warblers which were breed on Jang-do to make a action plan to protect these species.

다도해해상국립공원 장도 일대의 조류 현황을 파악하기 위해 2014년부터 2016년 까지 3년간 봄, 여름, 가 을에 모니터링을 실시한 결과 95종 7,255개체가 관찰되었다. 매년 동박새 Zosterops japonicus가 최우점종으로 확인 되었으며(갈매기과 제외), 흰배지빠귀 Turdus pallidus와 직박구리 Hypsipetes amaurotis, 여름철새인 섬개개비 Locustella pleskei 등이 우점종으로 관찰되었다. 또한 장도일대를 중간기착지로 이용하는 백로과, 솔딱새과, 할미새과, 멧새과 조류들이 다양하게 관찰되었으며 조사기간 동안 총 12종의 멸종위기종이 관찰되었다. 그 중 장도에서 번식하는 흑 비둘기 Columba janthina와 섬개개비의 번식개체군 파악을 위한 정밀한 조사가 필요하며 번식가능성이 있는 팔색조 Pitta nympha와 긴꼬리딱새 Terpsiphone atrocaudata 또한 지속적인 모니터링이 필요하다.
