Fiber has been giving various benefit to the humanity, such as clothing, accessories throughout the history, becoming one of the most important necessities. However, humanity has become exposed and vulnerable to diverse hazardous materials for instance, electromagnetic wave. To improve the quality of human being, fiber that has functionality for electromagnetic wave shield has been researched actively. The purpose of this thesis is to introduce to the trend of electromagnetic wave shield fiber research and present the future prospect of the patent research. In this thesis, research about how electromagnetic wave shield fiber is used and applied to our life is discussed, also it is classified by it’s unique technical patent types.

섬유는 인간의 역사와 함께 의류, 도구, 가전제품, 주거 등 각종 편의도구와 시설을 제공하며 인간과 가까운 필수물질로 발전해왔다. 현대사회에는 섬유를 이용한 다양한 발명품들이 많은 만큼, 인간이 전자파와 같은 각종 해로운 유해물질에 노출되기도 쉬워졌다. 이 논문에서는 전자파 차폐 섬유의 특허 동향을 파악하고 이에 관련한 특허를 소개하며, 앞으로의 전망에 대하여 분석하였다. 실생활에서 쉽게 접할 수 있는 의류, 액세서리와 같은 제품 속에서 전자파 차폐 섬유 관련기술이 어떻게 적용되고 있는지 조사하여 대표적인 기술로 분류하였다.
