This thesis is about how Kangwon-do Arari and Keongsang-do Jeongjasori have been changed in Chungcheong-buk-do after they were transferred. Jeongjasori is a kind of planting song drifting northwoard in Chungcheong-buk-do,whereas Arari is a multi-functional folksong in Kangwon-do mainly spread out in the east part of Chungcheong-buk-do. Arasong also exists as a planting song mostly in the north-center of Chungcheong-buk-do. Arari and Jeongjasori, only used in rice planting,became more simple, and their solo or exchange singing style has changed to the call and response singing style. Arari rarely has individual features any more on the behalf of singing together. Jeongjasori has less variation in melody and makes full use of the limited text by repeating the same phrase. The uniqueness of Arasong is interesting; Arasong contains independent melodies although some elements of the song was derived from Arari and Jeongjasori. To sum up, the sounds of Arari, Arasong, and Jeongjasori in Chungbuk are different from each other but the melodies have some relationships

이 글은 강원도의 <아라리>와 경상도의 <정자소리>가 충청북도에서 어떤 모습으로 존재하고 있는지의 양상을 민요의 지역적 변이와 교섭의 관점에서 음악적으로 고찰한 것이다. 충북 <정자소리>는 남쪽인 경상도에서 북상한 소리이고, <아라리>는 동쪽인 강원도에서 서쪽 방향으로 전파되어 있으며, <아라성>은 중원을 중심으로 괴산군까지 확산되어 있다. 충북에서 전승되는 <아라리>와 <정자소리>는 본고장의 독창이나 교창 등의 가창방식과는 달리 선후창방식으로 바뀌면서 음악적으로도 다소 변화가 생겼다. <아라리>는 강원도의 소리에 비해 선율적으로 다소 완만하며 규격화된특징을 보이며 <정자소리>는 사설의 반복을 통하여 소리를 길게 짜 나가는 효과를 얻는 한편 선율적인변화는 그리 활발하게 나타나지 않는다. <아라성>은 <아라리>와 박자․장단 면에서 같게 짜여 있으나, 받는소리의 둘째 악절 전반부에서<정자소리>를, 후반부는 <아라리>의 해당 선율을 혼용하고 있으면서도 선율이 단조롭고 박 단위의 사설 붙임의 특징을 간직하고 있는 점에서 충북의 고유한 소리 갈래로서 위치가 인정된다. 이와 같이 충북의 <아라리>, <아라성>, <정자소리>는 각기 독립적인 소리의 종류로서 선율적으로 밀접한 연관성을 가지고 있으며, 그 경계에는 또다시 여러 형태의 소리가 살아 움직이고 있음이 확인되었다.
