Recently, there is a growing interest in walking assistance device for the old, the infirm and the disabled due to ageing population growth. The purposes of this study were to investigate and analysis patents of the method of the control and driving of walking assistance device for the old, the infirm and the disabled. Conventional walking assistance device has assisted its user in walking and wheeling down. The system of the device has safety problems with climbing a steep slope for lack of power. So, it is required to develop walking assistance device that could assist a user in walking, sitting, and standing and meet the safety requirements. Hereby the paper are to check increased demand for the safe walking assistance device, emphasize the necessity of the safety technology, and investigate the mechanism and safety control of a walking assistance device.

최근에 노인인구의 증가로 인해 노약자 및 장애인을 위한 보행보조기에 대한 관심이 증가하고 있다. 노약자 및 장애인을 위한 보행보조기의 구동과 제어방법에 관련된 기술에 대한 특허동향을 파악해보고 자 한다. 기존의 보행보조기는 사용자에게 보행보조기 형태로 걷기만 지원하거나 휠체어형태로 탑승이 동을 지원한다. 이것은 동력이 없는 시스템으로써 경사 및 안전상의 문제 등 공간에서 취약함이 있다. 따라서 사용자의 걷기, 앉기와 서기를 지원해주고, 비정형 지역이나 경사로 등에서 안전하게 사용자가 이동할 수 있도록 보조해주는 보행보조기 시스템 개발이 요구되고 있다. 이에 본 논문에서 보행보조기 수용증가를 보이고, 미래 산업에 각광받는 기술임을 각인시키고, 보행보조기의 메커니즘과 사용자의 보행의지파악과 안전제어시스템을 알아본다.
