In order to enable an independent participate in productive activities and social activities for the disabled person or elderly, they need a various aids that be able to adapt living patterns tailored to public without obstacle. In the wheelchair sector, which plays an important role in the movement of patients and the elderly, using of electric wheelchairs are gradually increasing. In the basic electric wheelchair, there is a limit on aspect of the movement and position. Looking at the current status of the wheelchair-related patents, patents that given a variety of changes to the basic structure of the wheelchair occupies a considerable part. In this paper, we examine the patent trends in the technologies that ease of movement skills and attitude to the convenience.

지체 장애인 또는 노약자의 생산 활동 및 사회 활동에 독립적인 참여가 가능하기 위해서는 일반인에 맞 춰진 생활 패턴을 장애 없이 적응할 수 있게 하는 다양한 보조 기구가 필요하다. 그 중 환자 및 노약자 이동에 중요한 역할을 하고 있는 휠체어 분야에서 전동휠체어의 활용도가 점차 증가하고 있다. 기본의 전동휠체어는 이동적인 면과 자세적인 면에서 한계가 존재한다. 현재의 휠체어 관련 특허 현황을 살펴보 면, 휠체어의 기본 구조에다가 다양한 변화를 준 특허들이 상당한 부분을 차지하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이동시 편의를 주는 기술들과 자세의 편의를 주는 기술들에 대한 특허 동향을 조사하여 기술하였다.
