A number of off-line studies with different methodologies have reported a discrepancy in children’s sentence interpretation of only. They have argued that task demands might be attributed to their imperfect performances to some extent. Taking a variety of error types into consideration, it is time to revisit the acquisition of the focus particle only with an appropriate method that complements previous weaknesses reported. The proposed methodology is supposed to be a research technique that directly tests their processing of sentences with only. For these necessities, the current study attempts to suggest an experimental design with a fine-grained method combining a comprehension task and a truth value judgement task. This design can be beneficial in charting children’s on-line processing activity for sentences containing only.
