Where is the crisis of Korean church originated from? Of course, it can be caused by various situations inside the church and changes in the external environment of our society. However, I think that the church crisis in Korea is due to the crisis of preaching. Above all, the problem of the preachers who convey the sermon is amplifying the present crisis of Korean church. In the sense of 'the problem of preaching is the problem of the preacher,' we must now take this crisis seriously. And by developing positive alternatives to this, we must be able to overcome the crisis. This article is a study in the aspect of homiletics, relating on this situation that Korean church is facing. In particular, I focused on the personality of preacher at this study - why the personality of the preacher is necessary, and what the preacher’s life is. In addition, I analyzed the theory of St. Augustine, Philips Brooks, and a preaching professor of the early Korean church Ahn-lyun Kwak who are important figures in the history of Christian preaching, focusing on the preacher's personality. And I suggest a practical alternative for the restoration of the personality of Korean church preachers.

오늘 한국교회 위기는 어디에 기인하고 있는가? 물론 교회 내부의 여러 가지 상황과 외부 환경의 변화 등이 원인일 수 있지만, 필자는 오늘 한국교회 위기는 설교의 위기에 기인한 것이라고 생각한다. 무엇보다도 그 설교를 전달하는 설교자들의 문제는 오늘 한국교회 위기를 증폭시키고 있다. 설교의 문제는 곧 설교자의 문제’라는 점에서 오늘 우리는 이런 위기적 상황을 심각하게 받아들여야 한다. 그리고 이에 대한 대안을 적극적으로 마련함으로써, 이 위기를 극복할 수 있어야 한다. 본 논문은 이런 한국교회의 상황과 관련하여, 설교학적 측면에서 연구한 것이다. 특별히 설교자의 문제 중 인성을 중심으로 하여, 왜 설교자의 인성이 필요한지, 설교자의 삶은 어떤 것인지를 먼저 살펴보았다. 그리고 더 나아가 기독교 설교역사에서 중요한 인물인 성 어거스틴과 필립스 브룩스, 그리고 한국교회 초기 설교학자인 곽안련 선교사의 설교자론을 설교자의 인격에 관한 내용들을 중심으로 하여 분석하고, 오늘 한국교회 설교자들의 인성회복을 위한 실천적 대안을 제시하였다.
