In this paper I present some meaning about the Donghak's Life-Thought from the aspects of the possibility of the ethics of life. For this end I use the instrument of Hegel's Sittlichkeit(人倫性). The Dongka's Life-Thought is based on the Sichunju(侍天主 serving god within me), is realized in society and history through Sincerity, Respect and Belief(誠敬信), Three Worship(三敬), Serve God with God(以天食天) etc. It serves as the ethical norm and method of the construction of our society safty network in disorder and criminal and serves as the philosophical basis of environmental discourse. But I present some arguments the need of universal and objective logic and method to posit ethically the Donghak's Life-Thought. Especially I will establish the ethical basis of Donghak's Life-Thought in the philosophical and ontological aspects of it and through Hegel's Sittlichkeit. I want to stress that element of the ethics of life is ontology, method(Not being so, and yet being so) and practical norms, and it is possible through the profound study about it.

이 글은 동학의 생명사상을 윤리학적으로 해석하면서 생명윤리의 정립 가능성을 모색하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 헤겔의 “인륜성”을 논리의 틀로 삼았다. 모심의 철학을 기반으로 하는 동학사상은 정성과 공경 그리고 믿음의 도덕규범과 경천과 경인 그리고 경물의 삼경의 실천방법을 통해 구체적인 사회 현실에 구현된다. 동학의 생명사상은 지구촌의 환경문제에 관한 다양한 환경 담론에 대한 철학적 기반을 제공할 뿐만 아니라 사회갈등과 범죄로 야기된 우리 사회의 사회안전망을 구축하는데 윤리적인 규범과 방법을 제공할 수 있다는 점에서 무엇보다 의의가 깊다. 그러나 동학의 생명사상이 윤리학적으로 정립되기 위해서는 그 논리와 방법이 보편화되고 객관화될 필요가 있다. 이 글에서는 종교적인 차원을 넘어서서 철학적이며 논리적인 차원에서 동학 생명사상의 윤리학적 기초를 세워보고자 한다. 제2장에서는 동학 생명사상의 기초가 되는 “모심”의 개념을 생명존재론의 시각에서 해명하며, 제3장에서는 해월신사법설을 중심으로 동학 생명사상의 핵심내용이 무엇인지를 성경신, 삼경, 이천식천 등을 통해 규명하고, 제4장에서는 헤겔의 인륜성 논의에 근거하여 동학의 생명사상을 생명윤리학적으로 정립하기 위한 논리와 요건이 무엇인지를 제시한다.
