A Study on the Relations of Self-confidence in Getting Jobs, College Supports, Job-seeking Stress, and Preparation for Getting Jobs Among College Students Majoring in Secretarial Science

To raise employment rate of students, every college supplies students with various programs, such as providing internship(including field practice), job information and job offer, resume coaching, mock interview, and special lecture for getting jobs. Students also are trying to get high scores of grade, to get certificates related to their major, and to improve foreign language skills(English ability) to increase employment possibility. This study is to investigate the relations of self-confidence in getting jobs, college supports, job-seeking stress, and preparation for getting jobs among college students who are majoring in secretarial science via structural equation modeling. The findings of this study are summarized as follows. College supports has positive effects on preparation for getting jobs. Preparation for getting jobs has positive effects on self-confidence in getting jobs. Job-seeking stress has negative effects on self-confidence in getting jobs. College supports has positive effects on self-confidence in getting jobs. But Job-seeking stress has no effects on preparation for getting jobs.
