This thesis discusses ‘Sicheonju(侍天主)’, ‘Giki’s monism(至氣一元論)’, ‘thought of honoring the three(三敬思想)’, ‘language of Dong-hak(東學語)’, etc through its main character, philosophy, and text. Especially, the original purpose on this study is to understand 'integrated imagination' and 'logical structure' reflected on them. First of all, historical and philosophical meaning will be identified, and then, based on it, the focus will be on tracking the semantic feature that forms 'logical feature' of the thought of Honoring The Three and the meaning formation of language of Dong-Hak which is used to describe it. In this thesis, regarding philosophical flow from 'Suun(水雲)' to 'Haeweol(海月)', 'Haeweol' to 'Euiam(義菴)' as Sicheonju, its characteristic is considered as Egalitarianism(Zhuang Zi's) built on Moralism. In the perspective that this flow is an 'integrated imagination', furthermore, it is in the same context as other oriental philosophies. Its key principle can be ‘Giki’s monism’, and the thought of Honoring the three is regraded as the result from designing the principle logically by original distinctive features. At this point, the most important word is 'Kyung(敬)'(honoring). This study examines the scholastic mantle continued from Zhuxi(朱子) to Toegye(退溪), and the characteristic of Kyung's meaning found in it. Moreover, the original semantic structure of Suun is discussed that is reformed in accordance with Sicheonju by accepting the mantle critically. Likewise, it discusses about language cultural characteristic of Haeweol that expands use of 'Kyung' in the process to deliver Suun's philosophy. Basically, this thesis has complex perspective on the issue of 'language', 'thought', and 'culture'. Ultimately, it pursues to describe 'historical', 'philosophical', 'linguistic and cultural' things in the semantic perspective. Therefore, the research method of this study has an interdisciplinary characteristic and, to do so, compromises various semantic theory that gives this study a significant meaning.

본고는 동학의 주요 인물, 사상, 텍스트를 통해 ‘시천주’, ‘지기일원론’, ‘삼경사상’, ‘동학어’ 등을 논하는 연구이다. 특히 이들에 반영된 ‘통합적 상상력’과 ‘논리구조’를 이해하는 데 원초적인 목적이 있다. 우선적으로 ‘역사적’, ‘철학적’ 의의를 밝힌 후, 이를 바탕으로 ‘삼경사상’의 논리구조를 형성하고 있는 ‘의미자질’과 이를 기술하는 데 사용되고 있는 동학어의 의미 형성 과정을 추적해 보는 데 초점을 두고 있다. 본고에서는 먼저 ‘수운’, ‘해월’, ‘의암’으로 이어지는 사상적 조류를 ‘시천주 문화’로 보고 그 특징을 ‘도덕주의’에 기반한 ‘만물평등’의 이념으로 이해하였다. 또한 그러한 사상적 흐름이 ‘통합적 상상력’이라는 측면에서 볼 때 여타 동양사상의 맥락과 상통하고 있음을 논증하고 있다. 그 핵심 원리는 ‘지기일원론’이라고 할 수 있으며, 그 원리가 독창적인 변별 자질 체계로 논리화된 것이 ‘삼경사상’으로 보고 있다. 이때 삼경사상의 핵심 어휘가 되는 것은 ‘경(敬)’이다. 본고에서는 ‘주자’에서 ‘퇴계’로 이어지는 학통과 이러한 과정에 나타나는 ‘경’의 의미 특징을 살펴보고, 나아가 이를 비판적으로 수용하여 ‘시천주’에 맞게 정비한 ‘수운’의 독창적 의미 체계에 대해 논의한다. 뿐만 아니라 ‘수운’ 사상을 전파하는 과정에서 ‘경’의 용법(用法)을 확장해 가는 해월의 언어문화적 특징에 관하여서도 함께 논의하고자 한다. 본고는 기본적으로 ‘언어’와 ‘사고’ 그리고 ‘문화’의 문제를 복합적으로 바라보는 관점을 취하고 있으며, 동학어와 동학문화에 대해 ‘역사적’, ‘철학적’, ‘언어문화적’ 대상들을 의미론적 관점에서 통합 기술하는 데 궁극적인 목적이 있다. 따라서 본고의 연구 방법론은 학제적 성격을 지니고 있으며, 이를 위해 다양한 의미 이론을 절충하였다는 데 의의가 있다.
