The purpose of this study is to analyze and evaluate the structure of exterior space of Gamcheon Culture Village by Ashihara Yoshinobu’s theory of architectural exterior space. His architectural theory should be summed up as five principles; 1)Quality of Space, 2)Scale, 3)Enclosure, 4)Hierarchy, 5)Continuity & Variety. The range of the research is limited to the exterior space of two hosing blocks(Block 1&2) and six community facilities(Small Museum, Mini Outdoor Stage, Village Rest Area 1, Tower of Dok-Rak, Observatory, Village Rest Area 2) in the village. The method of the research is combined document research with field survey. According to the analysis, the exterior space of two hosing blocks comparatively show the low Scale and high Hierarchy and Continuity & Variety value. The exterior space of Small Museum and Mini Outdoor Stage show the high Scale and the intermediate Enclosure, Hierarchy, and Continuity & Variety value. The exterior space of Village Rest Area 1 shows the intermediate Enclosure value, and the high Scale, Hierarchy and Continuity & Variety value. The exterior space of Tower of Dok-Rak and Observatory show the high Scale and the low Enclosure and Hierarchy value, and the intermediate Continuity & Variety value. The exterior space of Village Rest Area 2 shows the high Scale, Hierarchy, Continuity & Variety and the low Enclosure value. These results indicate not only the week and strong point of the structure of exterior space of Gamcheon Culture Village, but also its direction of development as an urban regeneration projet.

이 연구는 도시재생사업의 일환으로 재개발 된 후, 부산의 관광 명소가 된 ‘감천문화마을’의 외부공간 구성현황을 학술적으로 분석 및 평가하려는 시도이다. 감천문화마을 구성의 핵심요소인 외부공간의 현황을 20세기 건축외부공간론의 뛰어난 성과 중의 하나인 아시하라 요시노부(芦原義信)의‘건축의 외부공간 계획론’을 바탕으로 분석·평가하여, 도시재생의 새롭고 실천적인 방향을 제시하는 것을 연구의 목적으로 삼는다. 전술한 요시노부의 이론을 5가지 분석의 원칙, 즉 1)외부공간의 질적 특성, 2)스케일, 3)페쇄도, 4)위계성, 5)연속성과 변화로 재해석하여 외부공간의 적정성을 분석·평가하는 이론적 토대로 사용한다. 연구의 범위는 ‘감천문화마을’ 공간구성의 핵심 요소인 경사지 주거 군 및 가로변 공공시설과 연계된 주요 외부공간을 대상으로 한다.
