The purpose of this study is to understand the characteristics and significance of the social meaning of communities movement through reanalysis of anarchism. The communities provide the significant suggestions to the civil society movement and regional society movement; In a closed community to community relations-oriented, and as a citizen in the global community beyond self-reflection community. The commuities has been emphasized National and hierarchy of authority rather than individual and collectivity, equality and autonomy, and distributed and are pursuing decentralization. Specialization and competition is emphasized rather than as a universal recognition is important to be cooperative. This phenomenon is endogenous ecological value-oriented means. Community movement has the characteristics of autonomy and decentralization, reflected soicety. Thus, Anarchism is a scholarly reconstruction needs through a new understanding of community study.

본 졸고는 역사주의적 관점에 국한되었던 아나키즘을 현대적 관점에서 재해석하는 과정에서 공동체 운동의 국내외 경향과 흐름에 대하여 살펴보고, 향후 아나키즘 이 모색하여야 할 방향에 대하여 논의하고자 한다. 국내외 공동체 운동의 특징은 은둔형 공동체에서 관계지향적 공동체로, 자기성찰적 공동체에서 지구적 시민으로서의 공동체의 성향과 내용을 분 명하게 보여주고 있다. 또한 이들의 과정은 아나키즘이 지향하는 정부와 국가의 권위보다는 개인과 집산주의를 추구하고 있으며, 거대화된 위계구 조보다는 평등과 자발성이 강조하고 있다. 그리고 중앙집중에 대한 저항 이면에 분산과 분권을 추구하고 있다. 그리고 전문성ㆍ경쟁성에 대응한 보편성ㆍ상호부조의 지향이다. 이러한 현상은 내생적 생태주의 가치를 지 향하고 있다는 것을 의미한다. 공동체 운동은 분권, 자치, 자주사회의 가능성을 보여줄 수 있는 특징 을 지니고 있다. 따라서 아나키즘은 공동체 운동에 대한 새로운 이해와 학습을 통하여 학문적 재구성이 필요하다.
