The purpose of this study is to search for the effects of sex, class, peer attachment and body image of youths on juvenile violence misbehaviors. The subjects were 856 Grade 6 elementary school, Grade 2 middle school and Grade 2 high school male and female students. The study results are as follows; first, peer attachment was higher in girls and body image and violence misbehaviors were higher in boys. Second, peer alienation and negative body image were the highest among Grade 6 elementary school students. Physical violence, vandalism and rip off of violence misbehaviors were highest in Grade 2 high school students. Third, the correlation with violence misbehaviors was higher in boys, higher grades, those who had lower trust and less communication with peers, higher sense of alienation and negative body image. Fourth, sex (boys), peer attachment (sense of alienation) and body image (positive/negative) had statistically significant influence on violence misbehaviors. Such study results showed the increase and the seriousness of male violence misbehaviors and proved high correlation between the body image and juvenile violence misbehaviors. In the final section, the meaning and the limitations of this study and the proposals for future studies were provided.

본 연구는 성별, 학교 급별, 또래애착, 신체상이 청소년 폭력비행에 미치는 영 향을 탐색하는 데 그 목적이 있다. 연구대상은 초6, 중2, 고2 남녀학생 856명이다. 연구결과는 첫째, 성별에 따라 또래애착은 여학생이 , 신체상과 폭력비행은 남학생이 높은 점수를 보였다. 둘째, 학교 급별에 따라 또래소외감과 부정적신체 상은 초 6학년이 가장 높게 나타났다. 폭력비행의 신체폭력, 기물파괴, 금품갈취 모두 고2학년이 가장 높게 나타났다. 셋째, 폭력비행과의 상관은 남학생이, 학년 이 올라갈수록, 또래와의 낮은 신뢰감과 의사소통, 높은 소외감, 신체상이 부정 적일수록 더 높은 상관을 보였다. 넷째, 폭력비행에 대해 성별(남학생), 또래애착 (소외감), 신체상(긍정적, 부정적)이 통계적으로 유의한 영향력을 가지고 있었 다. 이러한 연구결과는, 남학생 폭력비행의 증가와 심각성을 알 수 있었으며, 신 체상과 청소년 폭력비행과의 높은 연관성을 입증해 주었다. 끝으로 연구가 갖는 의미와 제한점 및 후속연구에 대한 제안 등을 논의하였다.
