This study suggests the direction of protection against disasters for cultural heritage to prevent natural disasters like diverse fire and etc. from harming cultural heritage and is trying to help with the establishment of the basic system of protection against disasters for cultural heritage in Korea. This study specifies researches for protection against disasters for cultural heritage, items for education, present conditions of protection against disasters for cultural heritage, the role of The Society of Cultural Heritage Disaster Prevention and the cooperation with related organizations.

본 연구에서는 최근 복잡화, 다양화되고 있는 자연재해로부터 문화재를 보호하고 보전하기 위한 문화재방재의 방향을 제시하여 국내 문화재방재의 기본적인 체계 수립에 도움이 되고자 하며, 이를 위하여 (사) 문화재방재학회의 역할을 중심으로 문화재방재 연구, 교육에 대한 사항과 문화재방재 체계 현황 및 (사)문 화재방재학회와의 역할과 관계 기관과의 협력 방안 등을 기술하였다.
