The purpose of this study was to find out the mediating effect of self-management in relationship between coach’s justice and exercise adherence in athletes. In order to achieve this purpose, 354 athletes were selected from registered in Korean Sport Olympic Committee by the convenience sampling method. The 354 collected data were used by SPSS Statistics 21.0 and Amos 21.0 programs. This study was conducted by frequency analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, correlations analysis and structural equation model analysis. As the results, the following conclusion was derived. First, it was discovered that the coach’s justice had static influence to the self-management. Second, it showed that the coach’s justice did not gave static influence to the exercise adherence. Third, it showed that the self-management affect to the exercise adherence. Finally, the self-management showed mediated effect partially between coach’s justice and exercise adherence.

이 연구의 목적은 운동선수가 지각한 지도자의 공정성과 자기관리 및 운동지속의사의 관계 분석과 더불어 지도 자의 공정성과 운동지속의사의 관계에서 자기관리의 매개효과를 분석하는데 목적이 있었다. 연구목적을 달성하기 위해 2016년 대한체육회에 등록된 중·고·대학생 선수를 모집단으로 편의표집방법을 이용하여 자료를 수집하였으며 최종 분석에는 총 354명의 표본을 사용하였다. 분석과정은 통계프로그램인 SPSS Statistics v21과 SPSS Amos v21을 이 용하여 연구목적에 따라 빈도분석, 확인적 요인분석, 신뢰도분석, 상관관계분석, 구조방정식모형 분석, 부트스트래핑 분석을 실시하였으며, 이에 따른 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 운동선수가 지각한 지도자의 공정성은 자기관리에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 운동선수가 지각한 지도자의 공정성은 운동지속의사에 유의한 영향을 미치지 않 는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 운동선수의 자기관리는 운동지속의사에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 끝으로 운 동선수가 지각한 지도자의 공정성과 운동지속의사의 관계에서 자기관리의 매개효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다.
