The purpose of this study was to effect of role ambiguity and role conflict, communications and team effectiveness in women’s basketball team. To achieve this purpose, the subject was selected by elite women basketball athletes. In total, 190 survey questionnaires were distributed and 189 questionnaires used after eliminating 1 incomplete samples. There are three questionnaires(role ambiguity․role conflict Scale, communications Scale, team effectiveness Scale). The data was analyzed by the frequency analysis, one-way ANOVA, and regression analysis with SPSS WIN 20.0 program. The research methods and procedures are as follows; First, there was significant statistical difference of women basketball athlete’s communications, team effectiveness between their respective team, player’s career, importance. Second, as the effect on the women basketball athlete’s role ambiguity․role conflict on communications, it showed that the role ambiguity․ role conflict had a significant influence on communications. Third, as the effect on the women basketball athlete’s role ambiguity․role conflict on team effectiveness, it showed that the role ambiguity․role conflict had a significant influence on team effectiveness. Fourth, as the effect on the communications on team effectiveness, it communications had a significant influence on team effectiveness.

본 연구는 여자농구팀내의 역할모호성․역할갈등, 커뮤니케이션, 팀 성과의 관계를 규명하는데 목적이 있다. 현재 대한민국 농구협회(KBA)와 한국여자프로농구연맹(WKBL)에 등록된 여자농구선수 190명을 대상으로 조사하여 문항이 누락된 설문지 1부 를 제외한 189명의 설문자료를 분석하였다. 설문지는 3 가지 척도(역할모호성․역할갈등 척도, 커뮤니케이션 척도, 팀 성과 척도)로 구성되어졌고, 자료분석은 빈도분석, 일원변량 분산분석, 회귀분석을 이용하여 다음과 같은 결론을 도출하였다. 첫째, 여자농구선 수의 일반적 특성(소속팀, 소속팀의 선수경력, 중요성)에 따른 커뮤니케이션과 팀 성과에 부분적으로 유의한 차이가 나타났다. 둘 째, 역할갈등과 역할모호성은 대인적․환경적 커뮤니케이션에 전체적으로 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 역할모호성이 팀 성과 하위변인 경기력에만 영향을 미치지 않았고, 역할갈등․역할모호성은 팀 성과 모든 하위변인 운동수행성과, 팀워크 조성, 경기력에 유의한 영향이 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 대인적 커뮤니케이션은 팀 성과 하위변인 운동수행성과 에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났고, 환경적 커뮤니케이션은 팀 성과 모든 하위변인에 영향이 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이상의 결론을 종합해 볼 때, 단체경기종목의 여자농구선수에게 주어진 역할의 명료성은 팀 내의 커뮤니케이션을 통해 팀 성과 즉, 운동수행성과, 팀워크조성, 경기력에 긍정적인 영향을 미칠 수 있는 중요한 요인임을 보여준다. 본 연구가 엘리트 여자농구팀내의 역할갈등과 모호성을 해소하고 소통과 상호작용을 통해 팀 내에서의 선수생활, 운동수행의 성 과, 경기력 향상에 기여하는 자료가 될 것이라 사료된다.
