This study is dealing with the exaggerated description and linguistic expression about ideological formation through investigating the behavior of primary domestic newspapers about Korean matches in 2008 Beijing and 2012 London olympic. We finally found out that media still focused on the number of gold medals that had got it firmly into readers' heads that winning is the most important thing and we have to win by all means. This kind of articles commonly dealt with results and winners better than procedure and losers. Moreover, by changing the values of players' and matches into the unit of money, they gathered the interests and made the original sports spirit deteriorate and be sports events. On the other hand, they humbled other countries whereas overpraised Korea, especially, inspired patriotism by using the uncomfortable feelings to Japan. Sport articles must focus on the unpopular games to contribute to the development of Korean sports and its sound culture. This can be possible by the efforts of normal journalists, journalists particularly specialized on sports, newspaper company. Besides, they need to distinguish theirselves by specialty other newspapers don't have.

본 글의 목적은 2008년 베이징 올림픽과 2012년 런던 올림픽 한국 경기에 대한 국내 주요 신문의 보도행태를 살펴보고, 이러한 보도행태에 대한 분석을 통해 이데올로기 형성에 관한 언어적 표현과 과장된 어휘묘사에 관하여 분석 하였다. 그 결과 신문들이 여전히 2008년 베이징 올림픽과 2012년 런던 올림픽을 매달 개수에 따른 순위 중심의 보도 행태를 취하면서 올림픽의 순위가 곧 국력의 순위라는 공식을 세울 뿐 아니라, 우리나라의 국력을 과시하는 방법으로써 올림픽에서의 승리가 가장 중요하다는 인식을 심어주고 있는 점을 볼 수 있었다. 또한 승리는 곧 ‘돈’이라는 황금만능적 표현이 많았으며, 선수의 가치와 경기의 가치를 실질적인 금전적 단위로 환산하여 제시함으로써 독자들의 관심을 유도 하고, 스포츠 고유의 본래 정신을 변질시키는 점을 볼 수 있었다. 스포츠기사는 우리나라의 체육발전과 국민의 건강을 증진시키며 건강한 대중 스포츠 문화발전에 선도적으로 기여하기 위해 소외된 비인기 종목들에 대한 홍보와 보도를 해 야 할 것이다. 이는 단순한 기자와 차별화 된 스포츠 저널리스트로서의 자부심을 지닌 기자들과 신문윤리를 따르는 신문 사 차원의 노력이 있어야만 가능할 것이다. 또한, 일간지가 다루지 않는 전문성을 갖춘 신문이 되어 차별화해야 할 것이다.
