The purpose of this study was to review the attributes of sport events such as sociocultural, political, and economic standpoints. To meet this objective, paradigm frame was developed for Korea sports. Specifically, the study identified four areas such as frame bridging, frame amplification, frames extension, and frame transformation for the paradigm shift of Korea sports with a frame development viewpoint. The findings of the study were as follows, First, the establishments of professional sport leagues were identified as a part of frame bridging. Second, 1988 Seoul Summer Olympic games was presented at frame amplification. Third, the 2002 FIFA World was found as frame extension. Finally, the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympic games was identified as frame transformation. Thus, sports dominantly influence social phenomenon in sociocultural view point and mega sport events impact on social change in the aspects of political and economic explanation.

이 연구의 목적은 스포츠현상을 변화, 작동시키는 중요한 메가 스포츠이벤트를 추출하고, 추출된 이벤트의 속성 에서 사회문화적, 정치적, 경제적인 맥락을 구성하고 분석하는데 있다. 이를 달성하기 위하여 한국스포츠의 패러다임 프레임을 전문가 의견과 질적 연구를 통하여 설계하였다. 즉 한국스포츠의 패러다임 전환에 대하여 프레임 개발 차원에 서 프레임 연결(frame bridging), 프레임 증폭(frame amplification), 프레임 확장(frame extension), 프레임 전환 (frame transformation)으로 구분하여 파악하였다. 이를 통해 도출된 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 프레임 연결에서 프로 스포츠의 출범을 제시하였다. 둘째, 프레임의 증폭에서 88서울올림픽을 제시하였다. 셋째, 프레임 확장에서 2002년 한 일 월드컵을 추출하였다. 넷째, 프레임 전환에서 2008년 베이징 올림픽을 제시하였다. 이러한 일련의 프레임 개발을 위 해 각각의 요소에서 사회문화적 맥락, 정치적 맥락, 경제적 맥락으로 구분하여 논리적 근거를 확보하였다. 결국 스포츠 가 주도적으로 사회현상을 선도하였다는 근거와 메가 스포츠이벤트가 사회변화를 주도적으로 설명하고 있음을 제시하였다.
