The purpose of this research is to propose the direction of policy strategies in terms of participating cultural activities by examining the features and the impact factors of the phenomenon of enjoying cultural omnivorousness. From the study results, the researcher has found three important points as follows. First of all, according to the results of exploring the status of enjoying 9 types of genres in art, it is clearly noted that the average score is 2.08 in the passive omnivorousness and 0.45 in the active omnivorousness in a row. Second of all, it shows that the ratio of the passive omnivorousness is proportional to people’s income and educational attainment, whereas the active omnivorousness is not. In other words, it seems that people from the higher income group are more aggressive in cultural activities than one from the lower-income one. Lastly, this research represents that an educational experience related to arts and culture might have a decisive influence to the enjoyment of cultural omnivorousness.

이 연구는 옴니보어 문화향유의 특성과 영향요인을 분석하여 문화향유정책의 방향을 제언하는데 목적이 있다. 전북도민 2,504명을 대상으로 연구한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 9개 예술 분야의 향유실태를 분석한 결과 소극적 옴니보어 문화향유의 평균값은 2.08개였으며, 적극적 옴니보어 문화향유의 평균값은 0.45개였다. 둘째, 소극적 옴니보어 문화향유율은 소득 및 학력수준에 비례하는 특성을 보였지만, 적극적 옴니보어 문화향유율은 소득수준에 비례하지 않았다. 오히려 소득이 증가할수록 적극적 옴니보어 문화향유율이 낮아졌다. 이러한 조사결과는 문화향유 정책대상을 사회복지 정책대상과 동일시해서는 안 된다는 사실을 말해준다. 셋째, 문화예술교육 경험이 옴니보어 문화향유의 중요한 영향요인으로 분석됐다. 문화향유정책에서 평생교육 차원의 성인 대상 문화예술교육이 무엇보다 중요함을 말해준다.
