The purpose of this study is to analyze Relationship between digital divide and internet-based social, economic participation focusing on the elderly citizens. In order to analyze, concepts and approaches on digital divide are examined. As a cause of digital divide, IT capacities are selected and internet-based participation are categorized into pc and smart-mobile based social, economic participation. As a result of analysis, education, mobile contents making, pc usage abilities, mobile information production and sharing, mobile networking, internet usage abilities, mobile information contents production, pc networking capacities make a influence on participation of baby boom generations. pc information production and sharing, pc networking, occupation, income, pc usage abilities, mobile information production and sharing produce a impact on participation in baby boom before-generations. Policy implication are suggested as IT education and service, customized IT development, IT gift giving.

본 연구는 정보격차가 장년층의 사회경제적 참여에 미치는 영향을 베이비붐 세대와 베이비붐 이전세대로 구분하여 분석하고 이를 토대로 장년층의 정보격차를 완화할 정책적 시사점을 제시하였다. 분석결과, 베이비붐 세대와 베이비붐 이전세대의 인터넷 기반 참여에 영향을 미치는 요인들을 각각 살펴보면, 베이비붐 세대는 베이비붐 이전세대에 비해 학력과 모바일정보콘텐츠제작능력 차이가 PC를 매개로 한 인터넷 기반 사회적 참여에, PC이용능력과 모바일정보콘텐츠제작능력 차이는 인터넷 기반 사회적 참여에, 학력, 모바일정보생산 및 공유능력, 모바일네트워킹능력 차이는 PC를 매개로 한 인터넷 기반 경제활동 참여에, 인터넷사용능력, 모바일정보콘텐츠제작능력, PC네트워킹능력 차이는 스마트모바일을 매개로 한 인터넷 기반 경제활동 참여에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 베이비붐 이전세대는 PC정보생산 및 공유능력과 PC네트워킹능력의 차이가 인터넷 기반 사회적 참여에, 직업, 소득, PC이용능력 차이가 PC를 매개로 한 인터넷 기반 경제활동 참여에, 모바일정보생산 및 공유능력 차이가 스마트모바일을 매개로 한 인터넷 기반 경제활동 참여에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이를 토대로 정책적 시사점으로 개별 맞춤형 IT 교육정보와 일원화된 정보서비스 제공, IT 관련 정책 수요조사, 실태분석, 희망정책 등 발굴을 통한 맞춤형 기술의 개발 및 보급, 확산, IT소통 나눔 자원봉사 등 재능기부 활용 등을 제시하였다.
