This study focuses on the cyborg's allegory in the Post/human Era. Marion Lavel-Jeantet became a hybrid organism incorporating the human, animal and machine in Art Orienté Objet's 2011 performance, May the Horse Live in Me. The metamorphosis of human into a Centaur-like cyborg gives us a chance to see the new geography of the post/human era, where the boundaries of human and nonhuman are rearranged and renegotiated. The central issues I was concerned with are what it means to become ‘the other’, the combination of animal and machine and how the human became post/human subject in the course of her transformation. Through these exploring this perspective, this essay is intended to show, that the cyborg by Art Orienté Objet functions as an allegory of becoming post/human subject as well as a new body, hybrid organism in the contemporary art.

본 연구의 주제는 포스트휴먼 시대 사이보그의 알레고리이다. 아르 오리앙테 오브제의 퍼포먼스, <아마도 내 안에 말이 살고 있을지도 몰라>(2011)에서 마리옹 라벨 장테는 인간과 동물, 기계가 혼합한 하이브리드 유기체가 되었다. 인간에서 ‘켄타우로스 사이보그’ 변신은 우리에게 인간과 비인간 사이 경계의재배열과 재조정이 나타나는 포스트휴먼 시대의 새로운 지형학을 바라 볼 수 있는 기회를 제공 해 준다. 본 연구자의 화두는 그녀의 변신 과정에서 동물과 기계가 결합한 타자되기가 무엇을 의미하며, 어떻게인간이 포스트휴먼 주체가 되는가이다. 이를 살펴봄으로써 이 논문은 아르 오리앙테 오브제의 사이보그가 동시대 미술에 나타나는 새로운 신체인 하이브리드 유기체로서 뿐만 아니라 포스트휴먼 주체 생성과정의 알레고리로서 작동하고 있음을 밝히고자 한다.
