A study on developing standard operating procedure (SOP) for fire cause investigation in home rotating machinery in case of house fire

This study analyzed the cases of fire in rotating machinery so as to find out scientific and exact fire cause in home rotating machinery which settled most closely to our everyday life and to which product liability (PL) act was applied. And it deduced major fire causes that made home rotating machinery lead to the occurrence of fire through simulation, and developed and presented standard of procedure (SOP) for fire cause investigation in home rotating machinery. This SOP is wished to become small reference data in scene investigation of home rotating machiner in the scene of fire. And it is expected that DB of fire case according to each rotating machinery will be built by scientifically determining the cause of fire and this will be utilized for firefighting policy such as measures for fire prevention. And it is to be hoped that this SOP will provide an opportunity for fire station to win the public trust outside as a professional fire cause investigation organization, and to contribute to the improvement of credibility.
